Abayomi Brownfield is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and researcher whose work explores memory, belonging, and Afro-Indigenous cultural reclamation through painting, textiles, installation, and community engagement. Her work has been exhibited at Root Division, SOMArts Cultural Center, UCSF, UNLV's Marjorie Barrick Museum, Kaneko Gallery, and E Street Gallery. She is a recipient of the 2025 City of Sacramento Office of Arts & Culture Creative Growth Fellowship and has collaborated on public art projects with organizations including the Oakland Museum of California, SFMOMA, and Aerosoul Art Collective.

Through her studio practice and educational work, Brownfield creates spaces for reflection, cultural preservation, and collective healing, drawing inspiration from Black Southern and Afro-Indigenous histories to imagine new possibilities for home, liberation, and belonging.
